My name is Catarina Gonçalves, I’m from Portugal currently living in Ericeira. I’m a garden designer, graduated from Greenwich University in 2006, I love everything to do with design, gardens, and plants. And of course, outdoor living, decoration, and furniture are elements I enjoy a lot when working with clients. Since 2017 that I wanted to create a blog or a website so I could share my experiences not only as a garden designer but mainly how I developed my projects and how I create my renderings and animations. So in 2018, I started Garden Design Tools.

  • Do I need prior experience with Lumion to take this course?

    No, this course is suitable for both beginners and experienced users. Basic knowledge of 3D modeling software like SketchUp it’s essential.

  • What will I learn in this course?

    You’ll master advanced Lumion Pro techniques for creating lifelike garden and landscape renders, including texturing, atmospheric effects, and storytelling through design.

  • How long is the course?

    At it’s launch on the 6th of January it will be one module per week with the first week including Introduction and Module 1, second week Module 2 etc. once all modules are live the course is available online and you can go at your pace. I still suggest one module per week so you have time to practice and do the exercises from the workbook provided.

  • What are the PC requirements for Lumion Pro?

    To efficiently run the latest version of Lumion Pro, your PC should ideally meet the following specifications: Operating System: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; CPU: Intel/AMD Processor with a single-thread CPUMark score of 2000 or higher (e.g., AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i7-9700K); Graphics Card: Minimum 8,000 PassMark points, 6GB memory or more, compatible with DirectX 11 or later (e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT); Memory: 16GB or more RAM (32GB or more recommended for larger projects); Hard Drive: At least 30GB of disk space on the SSD for installation and projects; Screen Resolution: 1920x1080 pixels or higher Please note that these specifications are guidelines for a smooth experience in Lumion Pro.
